Full Description
The estate adjoins the Zulu Nyala Private Game Reserve, with all of the reserve activities such as game drives and walks available to Heritage guests. The reserve is home to abundant plains game (the shy and beautiful nyala, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, impala and many more), as well as elephant, white rhino, buffalo, leopard, cheetah, hippo and a wealth of bird life. Game drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles, by FGASA qualified and experienced game rangers. Early morning and late afternoon game drives are both offered, each allowing a unique viewing experience as different animals are more easily seen at different times of the day.
Adjacent to the hotel is our fascinating Zulu Cultural Village, where the residents still live and practice Zulu traditions as their ancestors did a hundred years ago. A visit will expose you to traditional Zulu beer and spear making; sangomas who read your future in the bones that they throw; the Zulu version of martial arts - stick fighting; bead and basket making and the high-kicking, rhythmic Zulu dancing.
The Zulu Nyala Heritage Hotel also has a small library, as well as a beautifully stocked curio shop for your browsing pleasure and be sure to keep an eye out for the impala, nyala, warthog, zebra, blesbok and Zulu nguni cattle that roam freely on the property.
The Heritage Lodge offers 57 Luxury air-conditioned rooms, all en-suite with separate bath and shower, tea / coffee making facilities, overhead fans, hairdryer, wall safe and direct dial telephones.
For large groups the Lodge can seat 220 and 70 in authentic outdoor bomas as well as a 200 seater al fresco dining area and 2 spacious bars.The Pool Deck is a great venue for entertainment and set in a landscaped garden setting. The main area also has a Social lounge with fireplaces, TV, videos and games, Library and curio shop.

16April to 31 August 2012 - R1080 per person sharing and R1260 per single occupancy
1September to 30 November 2012 - R1250 per person sharing and R1550 per single occupancy.
DBB and Bed and breakfast rates available on request.
