The lodge has long been a favourite holiday destination amongst hikers, whether you are staying in one of the 19 bedrooms adjacent to each other, or in one of the 4 self-catering cottages, family log cabin or tree house, situated separately for those who prefer more privacy.
We invite you to come and relax whilst enjoying the facililities at this tranquil lodge, which includes a serene lounge area (with television), dining room, bar, sparkling pool and boma – where you could simply enjoy the sounds of nature around a blazing log fire.
The facilities are for the sole use of lodge guests and their visitors only and bedrooms are serviced twice daily. All accommodation is within walking distance from the main building with it`s stylish interiors and spacious gardens create a pleasant and warm ambience. Amenities in the rooms offer practical conveniences and pampering products. Guests are treated to a drink on arrival and assisted with their luggage.
The area offers incredible bio-diversity with over 460 bird species and 1250 fish species in the marine reserves. It’s all about the wildlife, wetlands and zulu culture. Safaris to explore the wildlife are available in elevated game drive vehicles, on boat cruises, horseback, quad bikes or even by foot.
If you want to take a break from the wildlife discover the Zulu culture by visiting traditional Zulu villages, modern rural living school tours and community craft centres. The stretch of coastline is home to the most beautiful sandy beaches.
Snorkelling, scuba or sunbathing on unspoilt beaches on the Elephant Coast offers interesting and adventurous day trips. Sodwana beach boasts one of the world`s few remaining breeding grounds for the rare leatherback and loggerhead turtles and even the prehistoric coelacanth has been spotted here.
