The Golf Courses:
Oubaai Golf Course - a signature course is designed byErnie Els. The golf course design presents a challenge to all levels of golfers. Situated only 7kms from George Airport at Herolds Bay. The Golf Course is a Links layout where veld grasses line the lush fairways and greens. The wind plays a role in the defenses of the course being a coastal golf course. You will find generous fairways off the tees but in the spirit of the course these are well bunkered to penalize any stray or ill considered drives. The greens are in excellent condition and roll smooth and true. The design and placement of tee boxes allow all levels of handicap golfer the opportunity to extract a respectable score given patience and good course management.
George Golf Course - a beautifully manicured, 72 par, 18 hole course, with bent greens, set in the heart of the garden route. Hole Seventeen the signature hole on the golf course. The par 3 has always been regarded as one of the best par 3`s in the world, with its`s long par 3 that leaves no room for error and is therefore rated as the second most difficult hole on the back nine. This hole rated as one of the top 500 in the world, as well as the best par 3 in South Africa.
Pezula Golf Course - a sweeping spectacle of fairways and greens rolling through the pristine coastline with a breathtaking, award-winning 18-hole course designed by David Dale and Ronald Fream of GolfPlan USA and rated amongst the best and the most scenic golf courses in the world. In 2001, just a few months after it opened, the Course was awarded Best New Golf Course in South Africa. In February 2005 Compleat Golfer rated it a Five Star Golf Experience.
Plettenberg Bay Golf Course - a popular destination for tourist and the main attraction of the course being the challenging layout built to USGA specifications. Set in a nature reserve, with the indigenous Flora attracting a large variety of bird life and small animals like antelope and bush pig and has also become a popular bird-watching club and is home to a large colourful bird known as the Knysna Loerie. This course is rated in the TOP 50 in South Africa.
Goosevalley Golf Course - Eighteen-hole golf course situated on the banks of the Keurbooms Lagoon just outside of Plettenberg Bay. A Gary Player designed 72 par, 18 hole golf course experience breathtaking views of the lagoon and the ocean as well as the beauty of natural fynbos, trees and an abundance of animal and bird life.
Your Package includes:
- Car Hire for pick up and drop off George Airport (unless otherwise required) including unlimited mileage and super cover insurances in a Meduim Size automatic driven sedan car
- 3 nights accommodation in the Wilderness area, situated between Knysna and George at the Boardwalk lodge or similar.
