A superb offer awaits you..a unique way to experience Africa in all its amazing beauty, by affording our guests the ability to see the wonders of the savannah close-up. Our on-foot walking adventure safaris give our guests a most intimate experience with the wildlife, flora and fauna of the landscape. Highly experienced and knowledgeable guides lead the way through the terrain, allowing our guests to truly feel their surroundings. Guests are introduced to the massive variety of animals, plants, insect and bird life that only Africa can offer.

Klaserie which forms part of an exclusive, privately-owned wildlife sanctuary, ‘The Klaserie Private Nature Reserve’, in turn a part of the Greater Kruger National Park. This magnificent reserve lies to the west of the Timbavati covering a huge 60 000 ha on either side of the Klaserie River. The private nature of this wilderness sanctuary enables one to embrace the African bushveld in one’s own time – to take in the sounds, sights and smells that make the bushveld such a unique experience.

The remote, rustic bushcamp complete with one raised accommodation option for the more romantic adventurers amongst us. Here the first of our safari venues, located in the Greater Kruger National Park.

This pristine concession of unspoilt wilderness is where our guests will spend 3 unforgettable nights on an African Walking Safari. The guided Big 5 area game walks will be led by two of our experienced and qualified Rangers who will teach and explain the wonders of the African Bush and its creatures. From the smallest insect to the awe-inspiring BIG 5!

Our Shangaan Trackers will keep guests intrigued with their ability to find animals utilising only their senses and explain the traditional and medicinal uses of plants you will come across during your authentic african journey. The lodge itself is a traditional rustic Bush Camp, thatched rondavels, situated amongst beautiful bush trees and wide open spaces. The public area is a huge thatched lapa with an adjoining Boma. Here all meals are prepared over coals of an open fire. And hot water is provided through simplistic “donkey boiler” systems offering piping hot waters with light provided after dark by “hurricane lamps”. All adding to the atmosphere and adventure!

We take safety very seriously on walking safaris and so our safari groups are limited to a maximum of 8 guests. Both Rangers will carry rifles and the trackers will also be well trained in the use of these weapons to ensure that should you encounter too close an experience with death you are always protected by this exceptional team of manager owned experiences.
